Dr. Channing Baird .

Channing Baird is a Colorado native. After graduating from the University of Colorado, she completed optometry school at Pacific University in 1994. Upon her return to Colorado, Dr. Baird had the opportunity to work with some of Denver’s top surgeons before opening her own practice here in Washington Park in 1999. A passion of Dr. Baird’s is her ongoing annual mission trips to Mexico, Central America and South America, serving the eyecare needs of impoverished populations

Dr. W. Bruce Laurie

Bruce Laurie completed his undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico, then received his doctorate at Illinois College of Optometry in 1999. He began practicing in Winter Park, Colorado in private practice before moving to Denver. He has spent over 15 years practicing with some of Denver's elite ophthalmologists in surgical and medical eye care. Dr. Laurie's practice now focuses on primary eye care for all ages, including specialty contacts and ocular medical needs. He and his wife enjoy travel and collecting and rebuilding vintage specialty cars.

Dr. Kathryn Lachenman
Originally an Indiana native, Dr. Lachenman received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University. Thereafter she went on to attend Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago for her optometric doctoral training. Dr. Lachenman continued her education with clinical rotations at the Lexington, Kentucky VA hospital and Wenzhou Medical College Eye Hospital in Wenzhou, China. Eventually, Dr. Lachenman chose Denver as her home and is an active member of both Colorado Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. Before beginning at Eyes of the World, Dr. Lachenman practiced in a refractive and cataract surgery setting but her desire for more one-on-one time with patients guided her back to private practice. Outside the office, Dr. Lachenman enjoys running, skiing, and checking out new restaurants.
